About
The game can't run without its online services, and those were shut down with the official servers. Elysium replaces them. Custom games and ranked 2v2 work; accounts go through Discord. The servers are in North America (New Jersey).
How?
Three parts:
- Client mod. A small UE4SS mod that the launcher loads into the otherwise unmodified game. It points the game at the new services, replaces the old login with Discord sign-in, lets custom games start with any team size (1v1 and up) and adds hold-to-fire.
- Services. A rewrite of the shut-down backend: accounts, friends, parties, lobbies, matchmaking and Elo.
- Match servers. Decompiled from the game and built for Linux. They load the original game files.
How to play
-
Download the launcher
Get the installer and run it. The launcher isn't signed yet, so Windows may warn you: click More info, then Run anyway.
-
Sign in with Discord
The first sign-in creates your account, named after your Discord username.
-
Install the game
Pick a folder and the launcher downloads the game (4.2 GB). Already have Aim Gods installed? Select that folder in Settings instead.
-
Play
The game signs you in by itself.
FAQ
My antivirus flags the launcher
The launcher loads a small mod into the game (built on UE4SS) that connects it to the new servers. Antivirus tools tend to flag that, especially from an unsigned program. Allowing the game folder fixes it.
What data is stored?
Your Discord ID and username, your in-game name, and your match results. No passwords or email addresses.
Is anti-cheat running?
No, the original anti-cheat depended on services that no longer exist. Match results are decided by the servers.
Is this official?
No. It's an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Finalmouse. Requests to change or remove anything are handled right away: dev@nun.tax.
Found a bug?
Message nuntax on Discord, or email dev@nun.tax, with what happened. Game logs are in AimGods/Saved/Logs inside the game folder.
